Families Seeking a Private Educator

01 Consultation
Ensuring our ethos matches your family's is paramount to us. Lets have a thorough conversation about your educational goals and vision to ensure we are the right fit for your family. Schedule a consultation on our contact page. Please do so after fully understanding your role as the parent of a homeschool child in your state.
02 Our Search
We craft a custom search announcement designed around your family's distinct needs, then share it exclusively with our roster of experienced educators at Olexa Education. In parallel, we launch a dedicated search to hand-pick a fully credentialed expert who truly fits your situation. All client profiles stay confidential, sharing only the details educators need to make a decision.
03 Educator Expertise Evaluation
Our commitment to quality begins with a rigorous selection protocol. At Olexa Education we conduct an in-depth evaluation of every educator through structured multi-staged assessments. Each candidate undergoes extensive professional and personal interviews, and diligent reference checks. Our evaluation process includes thoughtful open-ended questions and requires each prospective educator to deliver a lesson demo; all to gain a complete picture of their teaching philosophy and expertise.
04 Client and Candidate Interviews and Selection
Your family will receive a short-list of vetted, highly qualified educators complete with detailed biographies tailored to your needs. You select the educators you'd like to interview and we handle the full coordination so you could prioritize relationship-building. Although video interviews are efficient and realistic, the strongest matches almost always emerge during an in-person paid trail, allowing both parties to experience the dynamic firsthand.
05 Onboarding Support
Hiring a private educator is often new for families. Your family will be your educator's employer. Since this is new for many families, we are able to connect you with a payroll company that can assist with onboarding your private educator as an employee, if you wish.

01 Interest Form & Application Documents
Thoroughly fill out the form for Educator Applicants on the contact page along with your cover letter, resume, state clearance(s), and current teaching certificate.
02 Multi-Staged Interviews
We review application materials and schedule initial interviews on a rolling basis. We will spend ample time getting to know you and your experiences in the field of education. We contact multiple references to gauge your field expertise and professionalism. We may ask you to respond thoughtfully to open-ended questions and to prepare a demo lesson.
03 The Olexa Education Roster and Client Interviews
Prior to meeting one of our special families in person for a paid trial run, you will meet with them several times via video conferencing. If you meet all criteria, you will be added to the Olexa Education roster.
04 Offer Letter Contingent Upon Background Check
If both the family and the educator feel it's the right pairing, they will proceed to discuss and agree upon the terms. The family will then issue a formal offer, made contingent on the satisfactory outcome of an in-depth background screening coordinated by Olexa Education and a third-party.
